We are honored to have our 2015 vintage La Ghiandaia awarded the SLOW WINE PRIZE and to have our winery included in the 2019 Slow Wine Guide.
The SLOW WINE PRIZE is awarded to wines that represent an expression of place, originality, and history. Quality-price ratio is another factor that is considered for this prize.
Slow Wine supports and promotes small-scale Italian winemakers who are using traditional techniques, working with respect for the environment and terroir, and safeguarding the grape varieties that are part of Italy’s heritage.
The annual Slow Wine guide adopts a new approach to wine criticism, taking into consideration the wine quality, adherence to terroir, value for money and environmental sensitivity. The guide reviews more than 2,400 wines and 370 wineries in Italy and, new this year, 121 wineries in California and 50 wineries in Oregon.
This March, Podere Erica will participate in two of the Slow Wine US Tour tasting events.
