The 2025 edition of the Slow Wine Guide recognizes the 2020 vintage of Il Picchio as a “Top Wine." This award recognizes not only the exceptional quality of Il Picchio, but also how the wine expresses our terroir and history. For the first time, Il Picchio was also recognized as a "best buy" meaning an excellent value for the price.
We are also proud to announce that Slow Wine has awarded Podere Erica with their coveted "Chiocciola" or snail award in the 2025 Guide. The “Chiocciola” award recognizes the Podere Erica winery in 3 important areas:
